The Api Wenuwen Api UK organised Sri Lankan
Cultural shows performed by the Tri Services Cultural
Troupe of Sri Lanka.
The London show was held at the Troxy Theatre London on Sunday
21st September 2008 and additional shows were held in
Birmingham and Manchester. In addition, a raffle draw was held
in London show, with each ticket costing £5. Contributions
through souvenir advertisements and well wishers will assist
in reaching our goal.
Our target was to raise a minimum of £100,000 by October 2008
and so far £94108.00 was donated to the ‘Api Wenuwen Api’ Fund in Sri Lanka dedicated to the housing
project for service personnel.
Introducing Api wenuwen Api to Europe on 14th February 2009,
Api wenuwen Api Italy was lunched by Hemantha Warnakulasooriya H. E.
The High Commissioner for
Italy with a brief Ceremony. A
Website for Api Wenuwen Api campaign for Italy was also
launched at the ceremony.
All contributions and proceeds from events are donated to
‘Api Wenuwen Api’ Housing Project for Serving and disabled
Service Personnel of Sri Lanka.
